wildlife photograph of the year at the natural history museum

It is incredible how the power of an image can provoke conversation, be it about how massive that crocodile is in real life, or about the cruelty shown to many animals in captivity. I could be particularly cheesy and describe the wonder and awe I sensed not just at the skill and patience of the photographers, but at the display of the worlds beautiful critters; from the close up of sea coral under a microscope, to the lion sat in a tree, to the polar bear perched on fragmented ice. I love photography especially if it has anything to do with  beautiful animals,i really loved this exhibition and it really gave me an insight in to what people think of animals.

during my visit to the natural history museum to see the wildlife photograph of the year i looked at 100 photographs all displayed on screens and there where various different catoragrys . one  of my favourite images was ‘Light Show’ a peaceful scene by Sandra Bartocha in the ‘Creative Visions’ category.

when walking around this exabition you get a real feel that animals are there to be admired and respected as if they where humans ,this exabition show cases some of the best wildlife photography in the world and relates to my question of my projected: how do photographers protray the relationship between man and animal

from this exabition i have found that animals are most intresting to human beings and humans are always trying to communicate and capture diffrent animals lifes and feeling also they try and show the  personalitey of each animal, humans and animals can both have distructive relationships becouse of the way in which animals have been affected by human beings and this is showen by the picture of the turtal

the beautie and wonderment showen in photographs shuch as these is amence haveing shuch exerlent photography skills with shuch ,clear focas and bright vibrent coulours these photographs are inspering

  1. 'A highly relevant exhibition Yasmina that relates to your project question.
Please quote any paragraphs that you have taken from writings about the exhibition. An interesting range of images explored with some annoatation of purpose.

Please develop your paragraph of writing showing your understanding of the more complex issues explored in the exhibtion. You might refer to other ways in which people try to highlight the issues explored in the exhibition i.e harm caused by man ( animal testing for beauty products) or appreciation man has for the beauty of nature.
You could refer to numerous protests/campaigns created by animal campaigners...

Select a range of visual images from either websites above or other relevant sources and talk about what the image communicates and how they are simlar or different. Discuss which images you think raises the most awareness (consider context/audiance).
Then respond creativiely. Utisie methods explored in the above and create your own response to raise awareness for what ever issue you want to raise. Cinsider what you want to shoot, how your are going to shoot it to emphasise your message and where you might place it.
